I don't know why attempted realism/naturalism has to look so cheap - this so-called feature film should have been uploaded on Youtube for free.
The majority of the performances were insufferably obnoxious, starting with the Youtuber played by Matthew Solomon: a good horror film needs a lead that you can actually root for and empathize with. This guy should have been done away with during the first 10 minutes of the film.
It's flicks like this that give low-budget indie horror films a bad name.

Found footage is my guilty pleasure, so I sought this movie out and I have to say I was really impressed, its all the more eerie that the story is set in an actual LA hotel that was the sight of murders, disappearances and a famous viral video of a woman on the elevator acting crazy then ending up murdered. The story is shrouded in a great build of mystery and leaves you wanting to know where the plot is going and the end revelations are fascinating.
